Every year, FOCUS feels a little different. The rooms are different, the conversations are different, the people arrive carrying different questions. Yet this year there was a striking simplicity to everything that unfolded.
Over 280 young people gathered for FOCUS25, making it our largest retreat yet. From the very first evening, there was a shared sense that God was inviting us to something uncomplicated but deeply profound. Strip away the noise, the pressure, the expectations, and return to the centre.
The theme was simple.
Just Jesus.
Across the weekend, we saw God move in quiet and powerful ways. Some experienced deep moments of conviction as they opened Scripture again with fresh eyes. Others found themselves in long conversations about faith, purpose, and calling that carried on long after the sessions had finished. There were moments of worship where the room felt united in a way that is difficult to manufacture and impossible to fake.
What stood out most was the hunger in the room. Many came feeling spiritually tired, distracted, or unsure about where they stood with God. By the end of the retreat, there was a renewed clarity that the Christian life does not revolve around a thousand different things.
It revolves around Christ himself.
Here is a recap of what happened.
